Filial Súplica a Su Santidad el Papa Francisco sobre el futuro de la Familia

Beatísimo Padre,
En vista del Sínodo sobre la familia de octubre de 2015, nos dirigimos filialmente a V.S. para manifestarle nuestras aprensiones y esperanzas sobre el futuro de la familia.
Nuestras aprensiones se deben a que, desde hace décadas, asistimos a una revolución sexual promovida por una alianza de poderosas organizaciones, fuerzas políticas y medios de comunicación, que atenta paso a paso contra la existencia misma de la familia como célula básica de la sociedad. Desde la llamada Revolución del 68 padecemos una imposición gradual y sistemática de costumbres morales contrarias a la ley natural y divina, tan implacable que hace hoy posible, por ejemplo, que se enseñe en muchos lugares la aberrante “ideología del género”, aún en la tierna infancia.
Ante ese oscuro designio ideológico, la enseñanza católica sobre el Sexto Mandamiento de la Ley de Dios es como una antorcha encendida que atrae a numerosas personas -agobiadas por la propaganda hedonista- al modelo casto y fecundo de familia predicado por el Evangelio y conforme al orden natural.
Santidad, a raíz de las informaciones difundidas por ocasión del pasado Sínodo, constatamos con dolor que, para millones de fieles, la luz de esa antorcha pareció vacilar por causa de los vientos malsanos de estilos de vida propagados por lobbies anticristianos. En efecto, constatamos una generalizada desorientación causada por la eventualidad de que en el seno de la Iglesia se haya abierto una brecha que permita la aceptación del adulterio -mediante la admisión a la Eucaristía de parejas divorciadas vueltas a casar civilmente-  e, incluso, una virtual aceptación de las propias uniones homosexuales, prácticas éstas categóricamente condenadas como contrarias a la ley divina y natural.
De esta desorientación brota paradójicamente nuestra esperanza.
Sí, pues en esta situación una esclarecedora palabra vuestra será la única vía para superar la creciente confusión entre los fieles. Ella impediría que se relativice la misma enseñanza de Jesucristo y disiparía las tinieblas que se proyectan sobre el futuro de nuestros hijos, si esa antorcha dejase de iluminarles el camino.
Esta palabra, Santo Padre, os la imploramos con corazón devoto por todo lo que sois y representáis, seguros de que ella jamás podrá disociar la práctica pastoral de la enseñanza legada por Jesucristo y sus vicarios, porque esto sólo aumentaría la confusión. Jesús nos ha enseñado, en efecto, con toda claridad, la coherencia que debe existir entre la verdad y la vida (cfr. Jn 14, 6-7) así como nos ha advertido que el único modo de no sucumbir es poniendo en práctica su doctrina (cfr. Mt 7, 24-27).
Al pedirle la Bendición Apostólica, le aseguramos nuestras oraciones a la Sagrada Familia -Jesús, María y José- para que ilumine a S.S. en esta circunstancia tan trascendental.

" En una época llena de confusión —como se puede ver por la ideología de género— necesitamos de la enseñanza de la Iglesia sobre el matrimonio. Pero, al contrario, estamos siendo empujados en una dirección que apunta a admitir a los católicos divorciados y vueltos a casar a la Sagrada Comunión. Sin hablar de esa obsesión de facilitar los procesos para anular el vínculo matrimonial...

 Por lo tanto, estoy muy preocupado. Y hago un llamado a todos los católicos, sean laicos, sacerdotes u obispos, para que se empeñen —desde ahora hasta la próxima asamblea sinodal— a fin de sacar a luz la verdad sobre el matrimonio. "

Epifanía, fuego y luz - La inocencia y la suma de las edades

                                                      Los patriarcales Reyes Magos

-Bueno, chicos, les voy a contar la historia de los Reyes Magos, como ustedes piden, contestó la catequista. Hacía calor, pese a que estaban en Antofagasta de la Sierra, célebre por el frescor de sus tardes. De las cumbres del cerro, como de un gigantesco volcán, salían nubes enormes que tapaban el cielo.

Los chicos, en rueda, miraban el grabado que mostraba la catequista, donde aparecían, recortados en el cielo de Oriente -de donde nace la luz-  envueltos en una nube que se fundía con los insondables desiertos, unos hombres misteriosos, patriarcales, cuyas barbas, como de fina lana, parecían envolver muchas historias y leyendas.

Veían a Melchor -anciano lleno de sabiduría; a Gaspar - joven vigoroso y bello; y a Baltasar, alegre y sacrificado negro, retinto y reluciente, cuya barba tenía más curvas que el retortuño del campo.

De ellos dijera el Rey Profeta David -ancestro del Niño Jesús- : "lo adorarán todos los reyes de la tierra" y "los Reyes de Arabia y Saba traerán sus regalos" (Sl 71). ¿Eran persas, caldeos, etíopes o indos? Es parte del misterio que los rodea…

-Pero lo más probable es que vinieran de Arabia..., siguió la catequista, ante los niños azorados por tantos nombres y pueblos extraños...

-Que en aquellos desiertos y oasis no habían olvidado lo que miles de años antes profetizara Balaam: "una estrella se elevará de Jacob , un cetro surgirá de Israel y aniquilará a los Príncipes de Moab". Por eso subían a los cerros a observar el cielo, esperando descubrir algo nuevo.

¿Y cómo habrían podido encontrar al Niñito, escondido en una cueva?

La señorita les contó que Dios ya había guiado al pueblo por el desierto por medio de una columna de nube, que de noche brillaba como el fuego. Y que a los Reyes los guió con la estrella más cristalina y brillante.

- Para San Crisóstomo, la estrella de Belén era un Angel. ¿No les parece bello? Todos asintieron...

-Y la estrella los guió hasta Jerusalén, y allí... desapareció. En ese lugar esperaba a los reyes una desilusión muy grande, toda una probación para su fe. Pues Dios, para fortalecer a sus fieles, permite a veces pruebas dolorosas…

Jerusalén era la capital de Israel, y ante un acontecimiento como la Natividad del Mesías prometido, debería haber habido festejos y alegría. Y encontraron todo menos eso.

Un usurpador, Herodes, ocupaba el trono de Israel (trono que le correspondía a San José, conforme enseñan San Pedro Julián Eymard, San Juan Bosco en su Historia Sagrada, etc.).

Los judíos les dijeron a los Reyes dónde encontrar al rey recién nacido, a Quien, aunque lo esperaban hacía milenios, no se molestaron en ir a adorar...

Tenían las Sagradas Escrituras pero no tenían fe y vivían olvidados del Redentor, al que imaginaban un rey poderoso y próspero, que los haría grandes y ricos. Y era todopoderoso, en verdad, pero tenía otros designios…

-Los Santos Reyes Magos no estaban ciegos como los judíos -dice San Agustín. Sin dejarse impresionar por las apariencias frustrantes permanecieron fieles a esa expectativa que Dios había puesto en sus almas y siguieron su camino para encontrar al Niño Dios. ¡Qué alegría cuando, al salir del ambiente pesado de la ciudad ingrata, volvió a brillar la estrella en el cielo para indicarles el camino!

Así llegaron hasta donde había nacido el Redentor del mundo, una pequeña cueva que San Jerónimo describe, en carta a Santa Marcela.

En ese pesebre entraron los Reyes e, iluminados por Dios, no se escandalizaron ante su extrema pobreza. Vieron al Niño, el Hijo de Dios hecho hombre, envuelto en pañales, junto a su Madre, la Virgen, más grande y luminosa que el sol.

En ese instante sublime se postraron en el suelo y Lo adoraron. Siguiendo las costumbres orientales, abrieron sus tesoros y le dieron al Niño sus regalos: oro, incienso y mirra. Traían lo mejor de sus tierras y sabían, por el "magisterio invisible del Espíritu Santo", que sus regalos eran apropiados. Pues el oro representa la dignidad regia de Jesús, el incienso su Divinidad, y la mirra, su naturaleza humana, mortal.

Luego de serles comunicado en un sueño que no debían volver al hipócrita Herodes, que había fingido alegrarse del nacimiento del Niño mientras tramaba insensatamente su muerte, se volvieron a sus tierras. Viejos autores dicen que por mar.

Los Santos Reyes Magos representan el comienzo del llamado a la Iglesia, Una, Santa, Católica, Apostólica y Romana, a todos los pueblos de la tierra y nuestra vocación a la luz de la verdadera Fe y de la verdadera civilización cristiana, que cada pueblo, dentro de la unidad católica, realiza a su manera.

Los dones de los Reyes Magos simbolizan también otras cosas. El oro, la sabiduría, el incienso, la fuerza de la oración, y la mirra, la mortificación de la carne, el amor a la pureza.

El Papa San Gregorio Magno enseña que su vuelta por otro camino significa que nuestro hogar es el paraíso y que, después de conocer a Jesús, no podemos continuar por el camino que veníamos siguiendo. Habíamos perdido la senda por orgullo, desobediencia y apego a falsos placeres; sólo podemos volver a encontrarlo por la penitencia, la obediencia, el desprecio de las cosas terrenales y el dominio, con el auxilio de la gracia, de las tendencias avasalladoras que llevan al pecado.

-Así vemos, niños, cómo el mensaje de Navidad y el ejemplo de los Santos Reyes Magos es siempre actual, ¡hoy más que nunca!, concluyó la catequista.

En ese instante, sucedió un fenómeno curioso. Era la oración. Sobre las murallas azuladas de la Cordillera de San Buenaventura se veían unas delicadas vetas rosadas, que pronto se transformaron en una “capa” luminosa, como los cuellos de encaje de Rembrandt o Van Dyck.

Hacia el noroeste, un arco iris, poco frecuente a esa hora, tomaba una coloración especial, con un verde, un rojo, un amarillo acaramelados: junto al arco una nube proyectaba una cónica aureola de luz.

Una niña preguntó: ¿señorita, veremos en el cielo la Virgen con el Niño?

Más lejos, la nubazón era un archipiélago de radiantes islas de oro.

El Niño Jesús y la Virgen sonreían al pequeño grupo de fieles que evocaba los misterios de la Epifanía, regalándoles un atardecer de fuego y luz. Cada uno volvió a su casa con la mente poblada de reyes misteriosos, nubes doradas y del Verbo, que "moraba en el principio y principio no tenía", manifestándose en grandeza y pequeñez a los embajadores de la gentilidad de Oriente. 

La catequista los despidió con estas palabras: -Chiquitos míos, nunca olviden estas bellas lecciones pues Jesús enseñó que, si no conservamos alma de niños a lo largo de toda nuestra vida, no entraremos al Reino de los Cielos. En la suma de las edades, lo bueno de cada tiempo se va acumulando y acrisolando, preparándonos para ver a Dios como lo vieron los Reyes Magos en el pesebre. Es el ejemplo que ellos nos dan en su día!

Navidad y legítimo esplendor en la mesa familiar

Campesinos de los Alpes de Baviera vuelven a sus hogares a continuar viviendo y celebrando la Navidad luego de la Misa de Gallo. En un ambiente feérico de nieve y cúpulas barrocas, pasan frente a un gran árbol de Navidad, todo iluminado, con recogimiento e íntima felicidad.

 

Es tradicional celebrar la Navidad con una reunión familiar en torno de una buena mesa, bien decorada, con comidas y bebidas exquisitas, especialmente preparadas para la gran ocasión. En muchas casas se viste el pesebre con devoción e ingenio, y se ha generalizado el árbol de Navidad (de origen germánico católico), con sus luces, cintas y colgantes de colores, lugar privilegiado para los regalos. Toda esta atmósfera encanta a quienes tienen sed de lo sobrenatural y lo maravilloso, esa “alma de niños” que el Divino Maestro nos enseñó a tener para entrar en el Reino de los Cielos…
Dejando de lado los excesos y exageraciones, y el hecho evidente de que en el mundo materialista y ateo de hoy la Natividad del Niño Dios pasa muchas veces a segundo plano o es directamente olvidada, ¿no tiene esa costumbre aspectos que merecen conservarse y afinarse?
La comida de Nochebuena, con su búsqueda instintiva de excelencia, tiene cierta grandeza y esplendor, y de algún modo expresa la felicidad del hombre por el nacimiento del Salvador.

La mesa bien arreglada, en estilo familiar, las comidas decoradas espirituosamente, los vinos de calidad, fruto de una suma de factores de primor –proporcionados a la familia de cualquier condición que sea- dan realce a bienes materiales creados por Dios “para su gloria extrínseca” y para la elevación del hombre. Elevan pues corporizan valores de calidad, excelencia y buena presentación. Y admirar esos valores torna el espíritu más abierto a las luces naturales y sobrenaturales que nos trae cada Navidad.

La influencia del espíritu de la Iglesia fue modelando el alma de los hombres -hecha a imagen de Dios- y de los pueblos, elevándolos siempre más, en la medida en que se dejaron modelar… Este cuadro de Carlos V, Sacro Emperador y Rey de España y de los americanos “Reinos de Ultramar”, victorioso sobre los protestantes en la batalla de Mühlberg,  por el Tiziano, bien lo muestra en mil imponderables, brillos, colores, penacho, gualdrapa, etc.  y en el propio caballo azabache, de gran brío pero obediente a la mano de su amo y realzado por la influencia de la civilización cristiana.

Pero hay toda una mentalidad, toda una ideología que no afina con excelencias, árboles de Navidad ni con los mismos pesebres, nacidos de la Fe y el sentido de lo maravilloso de San Francisco de Asís. Y que hasta intenta justificar ese amargo rechazo con pseudo-fundamentos religiosos.
El lector amante de los esplendores navideños se alegrará en encontrar a continuación la respuesta de la sabiduría católica a esa actitud pseudo-cristiana reñida con la inocencia del niño, a ese “complejo de simplismo“  o bien “miserabilismo” declarado, gusto por lo vulgar y masificante, rechazo del ornato y la belleza.

⇑Llopis, educador socialista (PSOE), bregaba para que las ideas materialistas e igualitarias  se apoderen radicalmente del alma de los niños destruyendo todo vestigio de  inocencia y natural sentido de lo maravilloso que, de acuerdo al Evangelio, es condición para ganar el reino de los Cielos… ¿Adónde conduce una sociedad inspirada en tan nefastas ideologías y mentalidades? Más radical aún es el miserabilismo versión “Teología de la Liberación”, predicado por el ex Fray “Leonardo” Boff⇓

“El Evangelio recomienda el desapego de los bienes terrenales (Luc, 14, 33). Una sociedad verdaderamente cristiana debe condenar el uso de todo lo que sea superfluo para la subsistencia. Joyas, encajes, sedas y terciopelos costosísimos, residencias innecesariamente espaciosas y llenas de adornos, comida rebuscada, vinos preciosos, vida social ceremoniosa y complicada, todo esto se opone a la simplicidad evangélica. Jesucristo deseó para sus fieles un tenor de vida simple e igualitario…

Enriqueta de Francia, Reina de Inglaterra, por van Dyck. Los mejores elementos de la creación y la civilización -como el oro, la seda, los encajes- sirven para realzar al ser humano, puesto por Dios en la cumbre como auténtico “rey de la creación” conforme enseñan Fillion y los teólogos verdaderamente católicos. La admirable elegancia, femeneidad y naturalidad de la reina y la discreta ubicación en el cuadro de la magnífica corona, son otras tantas afirmaciones implícitas del espíritu de la Cristiandad, expresada en la fórmula de San Agustín: “ubi humilitas, ibi majestas” (donde está la humildad, allí está la majestad).

“El Evangelio recomienda el desapego de los bienes terrenales. Ese desapego no significa que el hombre deba evitar su uso, sino tan sólo que los debe usar con superioridad y fuerza de alma, y con templanza cristiana, en lugar de dejarse esclavizar por ellos.
Cuando el hombre no procede así y hace un mal uso de esos bienes, el mal no está en los bienes sino en él. Así, por ejemplo, el mal del borracho está en él y no en el vino precioso con el que se embriaga. Tan es así que muchos son los que toman vinos de la mejor calidad y no abusan de ellos. Lo mismo se puede decir de los otros bienes.
La música, por ejemplo, ha sufrido muchas deformaciones abominables en las épocas de decadencia. No es el caso de, por esa causa, renunciar a ella bajo pretexto de que corrompe. Hay que hacer buena música, y de la mejor, y usarla para el bien.
En el universo, todo fue admirablemente dispuesto por Dios, y no hay nada que no tenga su razón de ser. Sería inconcebible que el oro, las pedrerías, la materia prima de los tejidos preciosos fuesen excepción a la regla. Existen, por designio de la bondad divina, para un justo deleite de los sentidos, al mismo título que un bello panorama, el aire puro, las flores y tantas otras cosas. Y además son medios para adornar y elevar la existencia cotidiana de los hombres, afinarlos en la cultura, y hacerles conocer la grandeza, la sabiduría y el amor de Dios.
Fue con este espíritu que la Iglesia utilizó siempre todos estos bienes para lo que tiene de más sagrado, el culto divino. Lo que no habría hecho de ningún modo si, de esa manera, se transgrediera la voluntad de su Fundador.
Y en todos los tiempos ella estimuló a los individuos, las familias, las instituciones y las naciones para que, con la misma templanza, siguieran su ejemplo, adornando y dignificando así, para la grandeza espiritual y el bien material de los hombres, los ambientes de la vida doméstica o de la vida pública.
Por eso le ha sido dado muy justamente el título de benemérita de la cultura, del arte y de la civilización.
